+ THE HAKUNA STORY
Finding reliable help at home for a loved one is tough and there is no easy way for families to connect with good caregivers.
"There must be a simpler way to do this," the epiphany went.
And the rest is Hakuna.
We are driven by our mission to build a better home care experience. We are here because we share the desire to solve this human challenge that is near and dear to our hearts.
The Hakuna team members and our caregivers are residents of the five boroughs of New York City. We may hail from different states or nations, but we embrace a deep appreciation for cultural sensibilities. When not in the office, we are avid readers, music lovers, and amateur chefs. We take great pride in our work and we will not rest until we know our clients are in great company.
+ OUR VALUES
Empathy: We care about the people we work with. To us, the most important parts of our service are understanding concerns and approaching interactions with a positive demeanor. Our team is people-oriented and focused on getting care right, without shortcuts or excuses. Every family's story matters to us.
Communication: Transparent communication and attentive listening are the foundations of our business. Internally and externally, we emphasize our "say things once" mentality. Working with us means that your needs will be heard, and that we will be upfront - there are no surprises when you work with us.
