Front-End Developer

The ideal candidate for this Front-End Developer job is interested in taking on a long-term, multi-faceted role with an emerging company. We are building a team of experienced engineers to create software that is both straightforward and fundamentally complex, working with a lot of client information, caregiver schedules and health data.

You will gain experience writing, testing and deploying code that ensures the integrity of our operations and user experience, working alongside our team that includes a CTO with over 22 years experience. And overall, you want to have a positive impact on people’s lives.

Location: Manhattan (Midtown), New York

Applicant Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years work experience preferred, but will consider exceptional designers that have good design aesthetics and strong Photoshop skills

  • Proven experience using common JavaScript and CSS frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap

  • Strong experience with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

  • Experience building websites that are responsive across different devices

  • Deep understanding of user experience best practices

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate closely with the entire team

  • Energetic, positive attitude

Tasks

  • Working on public facing web and internal tools that are crucial to our Operations Team and Client Base

  • Coding new designs and updating, standardizing and re-factoring existing parts of the site

  • Create, review and optimize relational database operations in our applications.

  • Write code that will perform efficiently and accurately in an asynchronous architecture.

  • Testing and debugging our codebase

Back-End Developer

  • Working on server side components and internal tools that are crucial to our Operations Team and Client Base

  • Coding new designs and updating, standardizing and re-factoring existing parts of the site

  • Create, review and optimize relational database operations in our applications.

  • Write code that will perform efficiently and accurately in an asynchronous architecture.

  • Testing and debugging our codebase

  • At least 1-2 years coding with proven knowledge of Javascript, MongoDB, Rails and/or J2EE

  • Deep understanding of user experience best practices

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate closely with the entire team

  • Energetic, positive attitude
